Partick Thistle are pleased to announce the signing of Morgan Hay, who swaps Queen’s Park for Thistle ahead of the 2026/2027 season.
The defender who began out at Hamilton Academical, traded the lanakrshire rivals for Motherwell in 2023/24 where an exciting start was abruptly halted through injury that saw her sidelined for a considerable portion of that season. Looking to get regular minutes on her return, she made the move to Gartcairn on loan of where she played her part in steering the Lanarkshire side away from SWPL2 relegation.
That summer, she made the move to Glasgow where she joined the newly promoted Queen’s Park. She quickly became a prominent feature for the spiders, racking up over 50 appearances through her two campaigns in Black and White, netting twice. Another player praised for versatility, Morgan is an exciting addition to Gary Holt’s side ahead of another competitive season getting underway.
Hay Said: “I can’t wait to get started. Everyone has really welcomed me in during pre-season, I’m delighted to get things done and become a Thistle player for next season.
“I feel i can offer a lot to the team and I look forward to trying to help the team to our goals this season.
Manager Gary Holt commented: “Morgan is an incredibly athletic player who will fit really well with how we want to play and the other players we’ve got at the club.
“She’s played at this level before and done really well so we know what she will bring to the team.
“She is another who we’ve had in over pre-season and watched how well she’s integrated with the squad and that’s really important.”
