Aston Villa October Fixture Changes: Kick-off Times

Aston Villa’s Three October Fixture Changes Three of Aston Villa’s Premier League fixtures in October have been moved from their original scheduling for live television coverage, with the Premier League making the announcement refreshingly ahead of expectation. Villa’s month begins as planned, at home to Brentford on Saturday 10 October (3pm kick-off), their first match back after the extended international break. The changes start the following week. The trip to Newcastle United on Saturday 17 October has been pushed back to a 5.30pm kick-off, live on Sky Sports. For travelling fans, that’s the one that’s the most awkward, a Saturday evening kick-off at St James’ Park means a late return home. Champions League Issue Man City’s visit to Villa Park on Saturday, 24 October, moves the other way, brought forward to a 12.30pm kick-off for TNT Sports. That fixture carries a further condition: if Villa are away in the Champions League the preceding Wednesday, the kick-off shifts again, to 8pm the same day. Surely a single final date should be arranged for the sake of fan convenience, instead of the possibility of a further change? The month closes with Villa’s home game against Fulham, originally down for Saturday 31 October, being pushed back to Sunday 1 November, with a 2pm kick-off live on Sky Sports.
