West Ham are continuing to work on transfer targets following the arrival of Joel Veltman, with ExWHUEmployee providing the latest. The former Brighton defender Veltman is now officially our first major signing of the summer, following Lamadrid’s confirmed arrival on a permanent basis, which many hope will kickstart our much needed transfer business this summer. Reporting on The West Ham Way Patreon, our insider advised that the club have a deal in place to sign Manor Solomon from Spurs, however there is a hesitation to complete the transfer. “A deal was pretty much agreed with Spurs for Manor Solomon to fill the left winger role at the club,” stated our club insider. “The club have had second thoughts as to whether they want to go through with the transfer due to the reaction of some fans. “It appears the deal is ready to complete but West Ham are in mixed minds whether to do so and seem to be airing on the side of avoiding but a final decision hasn’t been made yet. The final decision will depend on offers elsewhere like what is in for Sunderland’s Simon Adringa. “Arne Engels is still very much of the agenda and we haven’t given up hope on signing the Belgium international. Celtic are trying to get as much out of this deal and West Ham won’t pay beyond what their expectations are. “It is thought that Engels is pushing for the move and Celtic are expecting a further bid from West Ham to come in. “Talks continue for Troy Parrott but as of this morning it was no way near as close as others were reporting but talks were continuing. Each one of the targets I mentioned recently are still in discussion and I will produce further updates on if they progress. “Nelson Deossa was watched playing for Real Betis recently and is said to be on an alternative target list. The Colombian midfielder has been tracked since his time in Mexico prior to joining Real Betis but no offer has been made as yet. “I was told that the package we got for Callum Marshall was valued as a total at approximately £800k with an initial £400k followed by additional £400k if promotion clauses are met.”
