Anthony joined United's Academy in 2012 aged nine and has featured regularly for the club's Under-21 side in recent years. While progressing through the youth ranks at the Magpies, he made his FA Youth Cup debut aged 15, featuring in the third round tie against Charlton Athletic in December 2022. He made his Premier League 2 bow aged 16 during an away clash against Blackburn Rovers in January 2024 before scoring on his second start at under-21 level, an impressive stoppage-time leveller against Wolverhampton Wanderers. The 19-year-old, who has represented England at under-18 level, now joins a Swindon side currently sitting 13th in League Two.
