Super Eagles captain Wilfred Ndidi has returned to training with Turkish giants Besiktas ahead of their UEFA Europa League third qualifying round clash against Czech side Hradec Kralove. The Turkish club confirmed the Nigerian international's return by sharing photos from the team's latest training session on social media, with Ndidi back on the pitch alongside his teammates as preparations intensify for the crucial European fixture. Ndidi, who joined the Black Eagles last summer, suffered an ankle ligament injury ahead of Besiktas' UEFA Europa League second qualifying round tie against Danish club FC Midtjylland. The injury ruled the Nigerian midfielder out of both legs of the encounter, although Besiktas successfully navigated the tie with a convincing 3-0 aggregate victory to book their place in the next round of the competition. His return to full training comes as a major boost for head coach Vincenzo Italiano, who will be delighted to have one of his most experienced and influential midfielders back available ahead of another important European test. Since arriving at the Istanbul-based club, Ndidi has established himself as a key figure in the heart of midfield, earning praise for his leadership, defensive discipline and tireless work rate. The Nigerian International also contributed in the final third last season, scoring two goals and providing one assist in 31 league appearances for the Black Eagles.
