'It's absolutely pathetic' - Swansea City icon dismisses £10m valuation of Hull City target Zan Vipotnik A former Swansea City star has assessed a potential move for Hull City target Zan Vipotnik Former Swansea City star Andy Robinson believes a £10m valuation of Hull City target Zan Vipotnik is “pathetic”. The 24-year-old is among the most revered frontmen in the second tier having delivered a 23-goal haul in the division last season. His exploits have fuelled talk of interest from Hull, who have reportedly made an unsuccessful offer in the region of £10m for the Slovenian. Zan Vipotnik valuation dismissed Reports have indicated Swansea want £20m for the chief marksman and Robinson believes the valuation could be even higher than that figure. He told BBC Radio Wales: “Hopefully we can keep Vipotnik because his goals, it's quite phenomenal. He scored 25 goals [in all competitions] last year. “£10m for the player who finished as top scorer in the Championship is pathetic. It's absolutely pathetic to even start discussing that. I think the valuation will be around £20m to £25m.” Vipotnik only signed a new contract, one committing him to the Swans until 2030, earlier this year. This will strengthen Swansea’s hand in any negotiations, as there is no imminent risk of losing him on a free transfer. When the forward put pen to paper, Swansea’s head coach Vitor Matos said: “Zan has enjoyed an excellent season, and his goals have played a big part in the positive results we have enjoyed. “This new contract is a deserved reward, and we will look to make sure he and the team have a strong end to the season, and we help him to continue to develop as a player.” Hull City’s attack Hull relied heavily on Oli McBurnie last season but it would arguably be wise to ease the goalscoring burden on him. The Tigers have managed to sign Joe Gelhardt from Leeds United on a permanent basis, although he is not an out-and-out forward.
