Things seemed to be heating up earlier this week as a Fenerbahce delegate arrived in Italy to accelerate the talks with his counterparts at Milan. However, what has since filtered out from that is that there is still a gap in valuation between the two parties. Fenerbahce lead Leao pursuit On Fabrizio Romano’s YouTube channel, Matteo Moretto discussed the way that negotiations are going over Leao’s future, and he suggested that it will take sometime for things to be resolved. “Today they had an initial meeting to discuss Leao. The parties had this initial face-to-face meeting. They tell me that Fenerbahce, after evaluating the costs of the deal, now needs to figure out if, how, and what offer to make to Milan. So, yes, there was an initial meeting,” he said (via MilanNews). “Fenerbahce has returned to Turkey, and discussions will continue. It’s clear that Leao is waiting for other opportunities from a sporting perspective, but if the Turks were to present a significant offer, he would certainly consider it. Galatasaray are in the background, but as of now, Fenerbahce are ahead.”
