Leicester City pre-season friendly moved to new location after pitch concern

Leicester City's friendly match against Malaga on Saturday evening has been moved to the Banus Football Center in Marbella following concerns about the pitch at the Estadio Nuevo Mirador.
The Foxes were due to play two games at the home of Spanish third-tier side Algeciras FC during their warm-weather training camp. After beating Cadiz 1-0 on Wednesday, Russell Martin's men were due to play La Liga side Malaga on Saturday.
However, the club have announced plans to change the location of this weekend's game after an agreement with the two clubs. The game will now be played at the Marbella Football Centre, previously used by Wolves and Liverpool.

City boss Martin didn't hide his frustration at the state of the pitch on Wednesday night, with the Cadiz camp holding discussions about whether the game should be played or not.
The club confirmed the decision - and its impact on fans who have already bought tickets for the original venue - in a statement on Friday afternoon. They say: "We are sorry that, despite extensive work with Málaga CF and the organisers, it has not been possible to find a solution that would enable tickets already purchased for the original venue to remain valid.
"We recognise the additional inconvenience this causes supporters who have already made arrangements to attend the game and apologise for the short notice.
"The fixture had originally been scheduled to take place at Estadio Nuevo Mirador in Algeciras, where we faced Cádiz CF on Wednesday evening.
"Following that fixture, both Leicester City and Cádiz raised concerns about the condition of the playing surface. With player safety and preparations for the new season in mind, we have since been working extensively with Málaga CF and the organisers to identify a suitable alternative venue for Saturday’s game."
Supporters who had purchased a ticket to watch Leicester's game against Malaga at the initial location will receive a full refund automatically. Those wishing to attend the game at the Football Center in Marbella will need to purchase a new ticket.
