Celtic may be able to secure Dinko Horkaš for considerably less than the €10 million figure previously attached to the Las Palmas goalkeeper. CeltsAreHere understands the Spanish side could be prepared to sell the Croatian for between €5 million and €5.5 million, provided a percentage of any future transfer is included in the agreement. More recent reports in Spain have suggested there is room for negotiation, with figures between €4 million and €7 million mentioned as a possible range for a deal. Celtic remain interested in Horkaš but have yet to submit a formal offer. The goalkeeper has been extensively scouted, although the Parkhead club have so far stopped short of turning that interest into a bid. The 27-year-old joined Las Palmas on a free transfer from Lokomotiv Plovdiv in 2024, meaning any substantial sale would deliver a sizeable profit for the Gran Canaria club. His performances have since strengthened his position, with Horkaš establishing himself as a regular and attracting attention from several markets. There is also lucrative interest from outside Europe, in Saudi Arabia, but the goalkeeper would prefer to continue his career on the continent. His ambition of breaking into the Croatia national-team picture is understood to be an important factor in that preference. Viljami Sinisalo has been handed the gloves following Kasper Schmeichel’s retirement, but Celtic’s continued work on Horkaš indicates they are still considering another goalkeeper. A potential agreement at €5 million to €5.5 million, with Las Palmas retaining a sell-on percentage, would be substantially more achievable than the €10 million valuation first reported. For a goalkeeper Celtic have monitored over an extended period, the possibility of reaching a deal within that reduced range leaves the question of whether the club will now make a decisive move.
