Haissem Hassan to Celtic transfer path cleared by Oviedo boss as Hogh and Kyogo deals escalate The Scottish champions appear to have finally come to life in the transfer market Boss Julian Calero appears to have opened the door for Haissem Hassan to join Celtic as he unveiled a shift to youth focus at Real Ovideo. The Egypt World Cup star has seen his release clause tumble following Oviedo's relegation last term with an exit from the Segunda Division club on the cards. Hassan can now be had for £10m – down from his previous exit fee of £16m – with the forward linked with moves to Glasgow and Saudi Arabia. Reports suggest that Scottish Premiership have made an enquiry for the wide man as they look to replace Daizen Maeda - who is inching closer to a move to Ipswich Town. And speaking to the media in Spain, new Ovideo boss Calero insisted he was ready to lose key players like Hassan for a focus on young talent: "I don't like large squads because of the problems they create. "Oviedo is a club that relies on its youth academy, and young players need to be given a chance when the first-team players aren't playing. "But that's a decision for the club and the sporting director." Celtic have also revived their interest in Bodo/Glimt striker Kasper Hogh from January. Record Sport revealed in January that the Hoops entered the chase for the striker with the clock ticking down on the window. At that stage, Celtic had already snapped up Tomas Cvancara from Borussia Monchengladbach on a loan deal - and the Norwegian side raised their asking price after progress in the Champions League. Avisa Nordland report that the Denmark international is taking steps towards the exit this summer, having held "good discussions" with club bosses over a move - if the £7million asking price is met. Celtic could also bring back Kyogo Furuhashi as he nears the Birmingham City exit - and it is understood the striker is keen on move back to Glasgow's East End. The frontman enjoyed a glittering career in Glasgow's East End winning eight trophies before his switch to France - but the 31-year-old netted three goals this term following his return to British football with City from Stade Rennes. City boss Chris Davies has confirmed that an exit is imminent for the 31-year-old - and Japanese outlet Gekisaka claims the Championship side have accepted they will not recoup close to the £10million they paid for Kyogo with their asking price "cut."
