Eric Bischoff has stirred up fresh talk after doubling down on his praise for Roman Reigns, even though he still feels bored by the character’s current direction.
During a recent edition of his “83 Weeks” podcast, the former WCW boss said nobody in WWE or AEW today carries the kind of star aura that Reigns has, and he explained that this quality cannot be taught or booked into a wrestler.
According to Bischoff, when Reigns walks through the curtain, fans instantly know they are looking at a star, no backstory or match history needed, and this natural charisma lets him control a stadium crowd without saying a single word.
Bischoff also touched on a related and more heated topic, which is how much creative control top stars actually hold behind the scenes.
He pointed out that he faced years of criticism for letting Hulk Hogan have creative control back in his WCW days, and he now believes fans who think Reigns or Brock Lesnar lack similar power are simply out of touch with how the business really works.
Bischoff did not hold back, calling out critics directly and insisting that stars at this level always have a real say in their own storylines.
