'A little bit tempting' - West Brom target opens up on interest and Heggebo link Albion hope to improve their midfield options and the talented Norway international is a big target. Albion target Felix Horn Myhre admitted a move away from SK Brann is “a bit tempting” but added he is awaiting clarity on the situation. The 27-year-old midfielder, a star for his club and one of the Norwegian Eliteserien’s most sought-after players, is a firm target of the Baggies in their Championship preparation. Albion are not the sole admirers of the Norway international, however, and Spanish side Elche are thought to have tabled a bid for the midfielder valued at £3.4million 12 months ago. La Liga side Elche are long-term admirers. Myhre played the entire 90 minutes for Brann as they qualified for the next round of the UEFA Conference League qualifying stages with a 3-1 second-leg victory over Universitatea Cluj. It is expected he will be involved in a key league clash against Rosenborg on Sunday. “It's a bit tempting, I have to admit it,” Myhre told Norwegian broadcaster VG of interest. We already have a game on Sunday, and I think there's a pretty good chance I'll play it too. “I feel very comfortable. I have done so all along.” Myhre is no stranger to speculation away from Bergenland side Brann and was linked with a move to Celtic among other Scottish clubs in January. He has previously been tracked by Bodo/Glimt and Brondby. Myhre has shone for his club in recent years and is now a seven-cap Norway international, though was the extra man and surprisingly did not make the World Cup squad for the summer’s showpiece. He is a former team-mate and friend of Albion’s Aune Heggebo and played with former defender Torbjorn Heggem with the national team. The Baggies made a £4.7m move to bring Heggebo from Brann to The Hawthorns 12 months ago, meaning the clubs have a reasonable working relationship. Myhre told Norwegian newspaper BA on Thursday night that, should Albion’s interest become more concrete, he will make a call to Heggebo. It was also reported that Brann hope to “keep the peace” around the situation until after a big league clash on Sunday. “It's a very big contrast, then!” Myhre said. “Different destinations and leagues. But it also sounds exciting, and I have a good friend there. “If something more concrete comes out of the interest, I have someone I should call and hear more about the state of affairs. “No, I haven't spoken to him (Heggebo) yet, but it's probably good to get it done.” Asked if Sunday could be his final appearance for Brann, he said: “It's not certain at all. There are only a few days between the games, so I simply don't know. Now I'm trying not to think about it too much. I'm taking it one day at a time. I think that's the smartest thing. “I won't pretend it's not (Elche interest). In that sense, it's a bit the same rule as last year, but I also feel very comfortable in Brann. “With the exception of the match against Vålerenga, we've been on an upward curve where we've won a lot. “It's exciting to be a part of Brann now, so it's not like I want to throw myself out of the club. Then we'll see if there's an offer the clubs can agree on.” Brann boss Eirik Horneland said of the move: “The fact that Felix can imagine an adventure out there is no secret “When the orders (bids) haven't been enough for Brann to let him go, he's still stood his ground, rolled up his sleeves and kept going all the way. He's been exemplary in that way. “But I don't think there's any doubt that Felix will get out at some point.”
