PSB, ACTIVIT ink MoU to strengthen sports

LAHORE - The Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) Coaching Centre Lahore and ACTIVIT have inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at promoting sports and creating sustainable opportunities for athletes across Punjab through long-term collaboration. The agreement was signed by PSB Coaching Centre Lahore Director Noorish Sabah and ACTIVIT CEO and Director of National Hospital Lahore, Rd. Rizwan Aftab Ahmed. Under the partnership, ACTIVIT will sponsor Independence Day sports events of PSB Coaching Centre Lahore every year, ensuring regular competitions and enhanced support for athletes and youth development initiatives. Speaking at the signing ceremony, Noorish Sabah termed the partnership as a significant step towards strengthening sports development in the province. She expressed gratitude to Rd. Rizwan for supporting the Jashn-e-Azadi Celebration 2026, saying his sponsorship, including logistical arrangements and cash prizes, had made the national celebrations more meaningful and memorable for athletes and participants. “I am grateful to Rd. Rizwan for his valuable contribution to the cause of sports and youth development. People like him are not only a national treasure but also a true inspiration for all of us, who believe in supporting the national cause and contributing to Pakistan at every possible level. We look forward to working together on many more impactful initiatives in the years ahead,” she added. Rd. Rizwan described the agreement as an important milestone in expanding grassroots sports and strengthening the role of PSB Coaching Centre Lahore. He praised Noorish Sabah’s professional leadership and commitment to sports promotion, expressing confidence that the centre’s academies would continue to identify and groom talented youngsters into future champions. “The academies have the potential to become a true nursery for producing elite athletes under her supervision,” he said. Marking Pakistan’s 79th Independence Day, he paid tribute to the nation’s founding fathers, the Pakistan Armed Forces, martyrs and every citizen contributing to national progress. He honoured labourers, athletes, farmers, teachers, doctors and others whose dedication continues to build the country, saying their sacrifices and hard work remain the foundation of Pakistan’s strength and future.
