Your favorite Poultry Science major is back in the Lone Star State.
That’s right, Von Miller is expected to sign with his hometown Dallas Cowboys for his 16th season in the National Football League.
The news was first reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter, and the terms of Miller’s deal with America’s Team have not yet been announced.
A native of nearby DeSoto, Miller is entering his age 37 season as the two-time Super Bowl champion hopes to add to an already impressive CV that will certainly see him enshrined in Canton in just a few years.
At 6-foot-3 and 250 pounds, he is an eight-time Pro Bowl selection and a seven-time All-Pro, to go along with the Super Bowl 50 MVP when he was wreaking havoc with the Denver Broncos.
In 203 regular-season games in the NFL, Miller has accumulated 138.5 sacks, 177 TFLs, 27 forced fumbles, nine fumble recoveries, two interceptions and two defensive touchdowns.
The bulk of his career was spent in Denver before a deadline trade on Nov. 1, 2021, sent him to Hollywood, where he bolstered the Los Angeles Rams’ Super Bowl LVI-winning squad.
Miller subsequently inked a six-year, $120 million deal with Buffalo on March 16, 2022, but he was released on March 9, 2025.
He spent last year in the NFC East, leading the Washington Commanders with nine sacks in 17 games.
Prior to his professional career, Miller made his mark in Maroon & White as one of the program’s greatest players ever.
As a junior, he became the first Aggie to earn first-team All-American honors since 1999 after leading the nation with 17 sacks in 2009. The following year, he earned consensus first-team All-American status and won the Butkus Award as the top linebacker in the country.
Throughout four years in Aggieland, Miller appeared in 47 games and posted 181 total tackles, 33 sacks and 50.5 TFLs.
Oh, and he also uses his degree by operating his own farm, which, of course, raises chickens.
