Falkirk snap up EPL man Falkirk have completed the signing of Nottingham Forest midfielder Joe Gardner on a three-year contract as their squad revamp continues ahead of the campaign opener against St Mirren this weekend. The 21-year-old spent last season on loan at Mansfield Town in the third tier of English football, making 14 appearances for the Stags, but has now departed the City Ground on a permanent deal after the two clubs agreed an undisclosed fee. “He's a player we've been after for some time,” said head coach John McGlynn. “Since we first looked at him a couple of years ago but we were never really in a position to get him here. He had loan spells last season at Lincoln and Mansfield, which is a very good level. He's 21, he's an attacking midfield player and he's about 6ft 1in or 6ft 2in, so he's a tall boy. Technically, he's very good and he works extremely hard, which will fit in nicely with the way we play. “We feel he's going to play a huge part for us and, at the same time, I think we can be good for Joe. I'm sure that if he does well here, he'll get recognised and potentially have the opportunity to go back down to England and play at a really good level. We're very excited about the signing." St Mirren tussle for 19 y/o St Mirren are hoping to fend off competition from second-tier outfit Livingston for the loan signing of Scotland youth international Josh Landers this summer. The 19-year-old began his career in the Hibs youth academy before moving to West Ham United in the summer of 2025, and picked up valuable first-team experience on loan to Boreham Wood last season. According to a report from Sky Sports, there are several clubs interested in bringing Landers back to Scotland this summer. However, it is understood that St Mirren and Livingston are his most likely destinations. A traditional number nine, the teenage marksman is highly rated at the London Stadium. Still, the club want him to gain further first-team experience this season as he continues his progression into senior football. Rangers agree deal Rangers are set to allow winger Oliver Antman to leave the club this summer after agreeing a fee of £4.5million with Anderlecht. The Finland international moved to the club less than a year ago for a fee of around £ 3.5 million, joining from Go Ahead Eagles, but has struggled to make an impact due to injuries and a lack of form. The 24-year-old had emerged as one of Europe’s most exciting young talents during his time in the Eredivisie, helping the team win the KNVB Cup for the first time in their history, beating AZ Alkmaar on penalties following a 1-1 draw after extra-time. During that campaign, he was involved in 13 goals (5 goals, 8 assists) since December 2024, putting him behind only Mohamed Salah, Alexander Isak, and Ousmane Dembele in goal contributions across top leagues. However, he has struggled to make an impact with Rangers, starting just eight league games last season. Despite his failure to adapt in Glasgow, the club are set to bank a profit on Antman with the sale to the Belgian giants. Reports claim he will undergo his medical on Wednesday, with an official announcement expected in due course. Meanwhile, Kilmarnock are closing in on a deal for former Rangers academy product Johnly Yfeko.
