Aberdeen goalkeeper Dimitar Mitov could be closing in on his transfer exit, with the Bulgarian international attracting interest from across Europe. The Dons shot-stopper is on the radar of clubs from Germany, Denmark, Austria and Cyprus, with Record Sport reporting some of the clubs have already made official contract. Mitov, who became a Scottish Cup hero for the Reds last summer, is currently in the final year of his contract, which includes the option to extend it by another 12 months. Both Aberdeen and Mitov are open to the possibility of a move in this window, providing the six-figure asking price is met. Stephen Robinson has already brought in Marius Muller and the German has been the Reds' No. 1 since he arrived from Wolfsburg. He was signed due to transfer interest in Mitov, and the Aberdeen boss made it clear that he didn’t want to get short if an expected offer came in for the big keeper. Mitov has been in Scottish football for the last three seasons and is open to a fresh challenge. Aberdeen signed him from St Johnstone for £200,000 back in 2024 where he previously worked with the Dons' current goalkeeping coach Craig Hinchcliffe. The keeper came through the ranks at Charlton Athletic and is keen to play at the highest level he can to help him in the fight to hold down the No. 1 position with the Bulgarian national team.
