Arsenal plan to accept new Gabriel Martinelli offer 'from what I've heard'
Arsenal are planning to accept a new offer for Gabriel Martinelli as they continue their pursuit of a big-name forward this month.
The Gunners have been linked with a number of Europe's superstar wingers, including both Vinicius Junior and Bradley Barcola, with other options also on their radar.
That has raised questions about the Brazil international's future in Mikel Arteta's side, and the club are now open to letting him leave should they land a replacement.
Former Man United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider that Martinelli will be surplus to requirements at Arsenal if another winger arrives as planned.
The 25-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to Turkish giants Galatasaray, but turned down an offer from them, leaving his future very much up in the air.
However, should another offer arrive from elsewhere, Arsenal are open to letting him move on should he be able to reach an agreement over personal terms.
Will Arsenal allow Gabriel Martinelli to leave?
Football Insider revealed on 14 August that Arsenal are keen to sell Martinelli this month despite missing out on other targets, as they aim to raise funds through player sales.
A number of clubs across Europe have been looking at the Brazil international, and there is a growing feeling he will be moved on before the window closes.
Arsenal are preparing to accept offers for the winger, and hope to shift him in the coming weeks, although it could still depend on whether they land new additions.
"From what I've heard, Arsenal have been open to letting Martinelli go for a while," Brown told Football Insider.
"When you look at their transfer activity this summer, they're looking to bring in a big-name winger, and that's because Martinelli is not good enough for what they want to achieve.
"If they can bring in a new winger, he will be made surplus to requirements, so they're looking to move him on alongside bringing in his replacement.
"Plus, it will let them raise money which can go elsewhere in the squad in these last few days of the window, because they do still want to strengthen.
"There are a number of clubs interested, so as long as the price is right for Arsenal, they will be ready to accept offers, and like I say, especially if they bring in a new winger."
Which clubs are interested in signing Martinelli?
Galatasaray are currently seen as the leading contenders to land Martinelli, but after struggling to convince him of the move, a number of Premier League clubs are showing an interest.
Football Insider revealed on 15 August that Galatasaray are doing everything in their power to convince Martinelli of a move to Turkey, despite him having turned down the move.
Meanwhile, the likes of Newcastle United and Aston Villa have been linked with moves for the Brazil international as they aim to bolster their squads in the window's closing stages.
Whether they would be prepared to meet Arsenal's asking price remains to be seen, but both Premier League clubs are believed to be keen to bring him in.
Should the move to Galatasaray fall through entirely, the other interested parties will be placed on high alert and could look to swoop in with new offers.
