The 2026 NFL Top 100 has seen some outstanding jumps through the first 70 names revealed. A lot of veterans have seen their rankings drop significantly, but others are stepping up as there is a lot of hope for their 2026 season. Let’s take a closer look at one of the signal callers who is projected to have a major season.
Dak Prescott soars 48 spots on the 2026 NFL Top 100
The 2026 NFL Top 100 has seen a lot of quarterbacks find their spot already. Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott returned to his norm after dealing with injuries in 2024. He jumped 48 spots to be 31st on this year’s list. NFL’s Bobby Kownack wrote the following blurb to discuss why Dak Prescott ranked so high this year:
“Not among his peers, who nominated him to the NFL Top 100 list for a seventh time, but Prescott feels underrated and underappreciated across the NFL fandom despite (or maybe due to) playing for America’s Team. He led the NFL in completions for a second time in 2025 and has quarterbacked a top-seven scoring offense in four of the past five seasons, the outlier being a year he missed nine games. It was basically all on his shoulders last season due to an absent Dallas defense that gave up the most points in the league. Prescott nevertheless managed four fourth-quarter comebacks, over half of the Cowboys’ wins.”
Last season was the first time that George Pickens and CeeDee Lamb were in the offense for Prescott. In 17 games, he completed 404 of 600 (67.3%) of his passes for 4,552 yards with 30 passing touchdowns to 10 interceptions. He also ran the ball 53 times for 177 yards (3.3 yards per attempt) with a pair of rushing touchdowns. With the idea of having the GOTI (Greatest Offense There Is), Prescott can have an MVP season if things go right.

The 2026 NFL Top 100 is a list ranking the top players entering this upcoming season. This list is voted on by the players during the previous season. Each weekday, two names are revealed on social media until we reach the top 10 players remaining. At that point, only one name is published until the entire 2026 NFL Top 100 on Friday, Sept. 4. It will be interesting to see which quarterbacks are considered to be ahead of Prescott.
