Barcola has long been Liverpool's top target this summer, but the Reds face the prospect of paying a club-record fee in order to secure the France international's services. PSG wants a fee in the region of $196 million, but Liverpool is working to reduce that asking price. Liverpool ideally needs to sign two wingers this summer - with Cody Gakpo still heavily linked with Tottenham - and a right-winger will be needed to replace Mohamed Salah, who left the club on a free before signing with Turkish side Trabonzspor. That's where exciting youngster Mbaye comes in. The 18-year-old is some way down the pecking order at the back-to-back European champions, and will be considerably cheaper than Barcola. Reports suggest a fee of $56 million will be enough to sign him. Liverpool will have to act quickly in order to secure a deal, with just a few weeks before the transfer window closes, and Enrique's decision to leave both out of Sunday night's game suggests PSG is at the very least open to considering a departure for both. The move is a drastic switch from Saturday's stance, when PSG announced the wingers would both be included in the travelling squad. Speaking ahead of Sunday's game, Enrique was giving little away as to Barcola's future. Asked about the left-winger, the head coach said: "We have experience knowing that moments don't last forever. "We have to be more attentive than usual because these moments don't last long, they're fleeting, but we want to keep winning, to be ambitious. "It's important to find players who love playing for PSG, who like our style. If a player doesn't arrive here with a smile, it's better to have other options." If Barcola is signed, it's expected Liverpool will be more open to the idea of letting Gakpo leave for Tottenham. The Dutchman has been one of Spurs' top targets as Roberto De Zerbi looks to bolster his attacking options, having already spent heavily this summer already. Liverpool has, of course, already signed Victor Munoz this summer, with the Spaniard lining up on the right when he came on against Como on Sunday afternoon. He replaced teenage wonderkid Rio Ngumoha in a like-for-like substitution, with Andoni Iraola still figuring out how to properly replace Salah on the right flank. Both Ngumoha and Munoz are natural left-wingers, and ideally Liverpool wants to sign a player more comfortable playing on the right. Jeremie Frimpong can play there, but he'll be needed at right-back in order to cover for the injured Conor Bradley.
