It was a frustrating night for large spells as David Gray's side struggled to make their pressure count. But Hibs got the goal they craved in the 73rd minute with a delightful flick from Edling. Sub Wright was lively from the bench and his pass into the six yard box was back-heeled into the net by the forward. The home team had Shkendija where they wanted them as they attempted to carry a lead into the away leg. But the visitors levelled less than three minutes later. Visiting skipper Arvin Zejnullai darted forward and played in sub Gjorgjievski. The forward left defender Jason Kerr in his wake before calmly clipping the ball past Sallinger from a tight angle. But Hibs grabbed the winner in the 90th minute through O’Hora. The defender bundled the ball in from close range after Kerr’s header from a Jordan Obita corner came back off the post. Hibs came close to a third but Kerr had an effort cleared off the line with the last touch. But the Leith side will fancy their chances of progressing to the play-off rounds when they go on their travels next week.
