Liverpool have received a boost in their pursuits of Bradley Barcola and Ibrahim Mbaye. The Paris Saint-Germain pair remain on the Anfield club’s radar for attacking reinforcements despite negotiations remaining at an impasse for both players. Andoni Iraola’s side have put talks with the European champions for Barcola on hold after signalling their intent to table a £90 million bid for the forward. That figure falls below PSG’s valuation of the France international which is understood to stand at around £130M while talks for Mbaye remain ongoing. However the Reds’ bid to sign the duo was given renewed hope after Barcola and Mbaye both were omitted for Sunday’s Trophee des Champions clash. More to follow
