Hibs v Hearts given unusual TV slot as Celtic and Rangers handed new kick-off times Change of date and time for first Edinburgh derby of season The first Edinburgh derby of the season has been moved to a Thursday after being selected for live TV coverage - with Celtic and Rangers matches also given new start times. The game between Hibs and Hearts at Easter Road was originally due to be played on Wednesday, September 2 at 7.45pm as part of a full Premiership card taking place that evening. However, the fixture has been pushed back by 24 hours by the SPFL after being picked up by Premier Sports. It will now take place on Thursday, September 3 - which is also transfer deadline day in Scotland - with a 7.45pm kick-off. As a result, both club's Premiership fixtures the following weekend have been moved from the Saturday to the Sunday. Hibs will now travel to Perth to face St Johnstone on Sunday, September 6, for a 3pm kick-off in a match that will also be shown live on Premier Sports. Hearts, meanwhile, will host Dundee in a 3pm kick-off the same day although that match has not been selected for TV coverage. Elsewhere, Rangers’ trip to Falkirk on Wednesday, September 2, has been pushed back 15 minutes from 7.45pm to 8pm to accommodate the Sky Sports cameras at Falkirk Stadium. Sky Sports will also be showing St Mirren v Celtic on Saturday, September 5 with the game in Paisley now set to start at 8pm, five hours later than the original 3pm kick-off time.
