Leeds United are still looking to add another striker this summer, with Daniel Farke keen to ease some of the goalscoring burden on Dominic Calvert-Lewin ahead of the new Premier League season.
The former Everton forward enjoyed an excellent first campaign at Elland Road, scoring 14 league goals and playing a major role in Leeds securing their top-flight status. However, when Calvert-Lewin’s goals dried up, Leeds often lacked another dependable option to step in, exposing the need for more depth in attack.
That makes another centre-forward one of the club’s biggest priorities before the window closes. Farke wants someone who can compete with Calvert-Lewin for a starting place while also giving him the option of playing both forwards together when required.
The new arrival must also be capable of leading the line when Calvert-Lewin is unavailable. Adding that kind of quality and competition would give Farke more options up front and reduce Leeds’ reliance on one player throughout a demanding Premier League campaign.

Leeds United target scores twice to earn a point for his side
The Whites are still looking to bring in at least three more players, if not four, while being in talks to move on a trio of stars in the coming days.
The Whites are currently in talks over a potential sale of Joel Piroe to West Ham, and his departure would free up space for Leeds to bring in another striker.
Adding another forward is arguably one of the club’s biggest priorities, with Daniel Farke keen to ease some of the goalscoring pressure on Dominic Calvert-Lewin during the 2026/27 season.
Zian Flemming has been strongly linked with a move to Elland Road since the end of last season, and the Dutch forward is now expected to leave Burnley following their relegation.
Leeds have been stepping up their efforts to sign the Dutchman. However, the forward is still at Burnley, and he played in their opening Championship game.
Flemming scored twice to help Burnley earn a point against West Ham, as the Hammers raced to a 2-2 draw.
The striker showed why he is rated so highly, and why Premier League clubs are keen to snare him away from Burnley this summer.
Zian Flemming would be a brilliant signing for Leeds
The 28-year-old Dutchman finished as Burnley’s leading scorer in the Premier League last season, finding the net 11 times in just 29 appearances.
Flemming stood out despite playing in a struggling side, which has naturally caught the attention of several Premier League clubs.
Among Leeds’ current squad, only Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored more league goals than Flemming last season, while Noah Okafor finished three goals behind the Burnley forward.
With Premier League experience already under his belt and a proven eye for goal, Flemming looks like exactly the kind of opportunity Leeds should be looking to take advantage of before the transfer window closes.
