Tottenham Hotspur have expressed an interest in a versatile 21-year-old forward, but they face competition from Man City and Atletico Madrid. Spurs are looking to make multiple additions to their forward line, but with just two weeks left in the window, the Lilywhites have to speed up their pursuits. Tottenham are keen on landing Cody Gakpo and Savinho from their Premier League rivals, but reports continue to suggest that the Lilywhites are also looking to add a striker to their squad. The likes of Folarin Balogun and Victor Osimhen have been linked to Spurs over recent days, but they have now also expressed an interest in a highly-rated Ligue 1 forward. Tottenham battling Man City and Atletico Madrid for Matias Fernandez-Pardo TEAMtalk reveal that Atletico Madrid have launched a €35m (£30m) offer for Lille’s Matias Fernandez-Pardo, who scored eight goals and provided seven assists for the French club last term. However, the report claims that Diego Simeone’s side could face competition from two Premier League sides for the 20-year-old, who can play across the front three. One of those is Spurs, who are looking closely at Fernandez-Pardo as they attempt to add firepower to their squad ahead of Roberto De Zerbi’s first full season in charge. The other is Manchester City, who have already done ‘significant work’ on the Belgian and have been impressed by what they have seen. Lille’s valuation of Fernandez-Pardo revealed TEAMtalk say that Lille are under no pressure to sell the forward as they are set to receive £85m from Man City for Ayyoub Bouaddi. The Ligue 1 club are determined to give Davide Ancelotti a squad capable of challenging for honours, which is why they have not yet accepted Atletico’s offer for Fernandez-Pardo, and are merely considering it. The publication adds that a fee ‘below €40m’ (£34m) could be enough to secure the former Gent man’s services, which makes him an ‘attractive’ option for both Spurs and City.
