Stoke City sanction midfielder transfer to ease midfield log-jam Stoke City have sold Tatsuki Seko to Uwara Reds Stoke City have sold Tatsuki Seko to J1 League side Urawa Reds, ending his two year stay at the bet365 Stadium. The 28-year-old has completed a permanent transfer for an undisclosed fee and returns to Japan 75 matches after joining from Kawasaki Frontale in 2024. He does so after Stoke massively overhauled their options in the middle of the park, with the arrival of Ethan Galbraith, Svante Ingelsson and Djibril Soumare. He was not involved in either of this season’s two matches. “Tatsuki is a really good character, who has been an excellent professional throughout his time at the club,” Sporting Director Jonathan Walters told the club website. “Tatsuki and his family were open to exploring a return home and, after we reached an agreement with Urawa, he leaves with our gratitude for his commitment as a Stoke City player and very best wishes for his next chapter.” What did you make of Seko’s time at Stoke?
