Liverpool vs. Como II, Como Harder Pre-Season 2026: Preview, Lineups, and How to Watch Liverpool’s pre-season concludes at Anfield vs. Como. | Sunday, August 16th | Pre-Season | Anfield 6PM BST/1PM EST PREVIEW The Reds play their second of two matches against Italian side Como this evening, thus concluding their preseason ahead of next week’s Premier League opener against Newcastle. The first match ended in a 0-0 draw, thereby retroactively affirming my decision to skip it entirely. However, unlike the first match—which only featured one likely starter, Alexis Mac Allister—this time around should feature a starting XI that is as close as possible to full strength. The last two outtings, not counting this morning’s affair, saw The Reds display an exciting brand of football…for the first halves, until substitutions and exhaustion lead to a lot of the same mistakes we saw last season. Hopefully we see much more of the good stuff and much less of the bad stuff for one final confidence boost before a ball is kicked in anger next week.
