Super Eagles forward Akor Adams has set his sights on a productive season at Venezia, declaring that he wants to play a leading role and contribute with plenty of goals. Adams signed a four-year contract with Venezia this summer, ending his one-and-a-half-year association with La Liga outfit Sevilla in the process. Now back in the Italian top flight, Venezia were relegated from Serie A at the end of the 2024-25 season after scoring just 32 goals, the third-lowest total in the division. Adams believes he can help the Lagunari address their goalscoring problems following their promotion back to Serie A. And the Nigeria international is walking the walk, having registered two goals and an assist on his competitive debut as Venezia defeated Modena 3-2 in a Coppa Italia thriller on Saturday. Adams said he was delighted to represent the club and believes Venezia have the quality and ambition to make the season an enjoyable and successful one.
