Amorim explains how Milan project is working under him and Cardinale: "Now and the future"

Ruben Amorim has brought around several changes for AC Milan and this has been seen in the mercato this summer, too.
Rather than going for several names under a certain price, Milan have spent heavily on two players who can contribute to the immediate future and long-term future of the club. Goncalo Ramos can lead the Rossoneri until Francesco Camarda or someone else is ready, whilst still providing assistance where needed.

Then, Mario Gila is a top defensive addition, making the Rossoneri backline one of the best in Serie A. Of course, another signing at the back would solidify that.
A central defender is not the only position which Amorim would like to recruit. In fact, he wants another four signings on top of that.
Amorim offers mercato insight
After the win against Manchester United, he clarified his mercato demands and how the club operates, as he told Sky Sport.
Will you ask for new signings after this victory?
“Now we have a plan. And we’ll do what we think is best for the club, not just for today, but also for the future. So we’ll see what happens.”
Cardinale was also close to you this week with his presence at Milanello.
“It’s not just about me. We’re really, really happy with the support we have from our owner, but it’s not just about me.
“The people at Milanello, everyone in our house, when they see the owner always there, talking to everyone, it’s something special. The people… and we, as I said, are a family. I think this year has changed a lot and you can see it.
“We had a great conversation and we’re planning for the future, the present, the present of the club. But, again, it’s not just about me: it’s about everyone in our house, in Milan.”
There are certainly a lot of positives to take from this, as the past few seasons of recruitment have seemed overly focused on the future, rather than the current moment.
