Harry Maguire has said he hopes Marcus Rashford stays at Manchester United because he's a "huge threat" who can help Michael Carrick's side this season.
Rashford, 28, is back with United after 18 months on loan at Aston Villa and Barcelona, with the LaLiga champions opting against making his move permanent.
Carrick has not confirmed that the England forward will definitely be part of United's squad this season, but after Rashford featured in United's 4-2 defeat to Milan on Saturday, Maguire said he and his teammates want him to stay.
"Obviously the transfer window is still open," Maguire said, per the BBC.
"As players, we hope he stays because if he does, he is a big asset to have. He can improve us for sure.
"You saw when he came on, he threatened the backline really well. He could have scored. He's a huge threat.
"I've played with Marcus for numerous years and I know that playing against him and playing with him in training is going to help us."

United led twice against Ruben Amorim's AC Milan on Saturday, but a missed Bruno Fernandes penalty was one of many poor moments as Carrick's side slipped to a 4-2 defeat in their final preseason game. Rashford came on with half an hour remaining.
"A lot of the boys will be better for the minutes," Carrick said. "We've got a good squad, so there are decisions to be made."
