Barcola is among Liverpool's top transfer targets, as the Reds look to sign a talismanic forward to replace Mohamed Salah after his free transfer to Trabzonspor earlier this summer. Liverpool is said to be confident about signing Barcola before the window closes. While the Reds are yet to agree on a transfer fee with PSG for the France international, it's believed personal terms will not be an issue. Enrique has dropped a hint on the progress of the proposed transfer by including Barcola in his 23-man squad for the Lens game. Enrique's decision suggests that a transfer is not imminent. That being said, Enrique has not included either Ferran Torres or Mika Godts — PSG's new attacking signings — in his squad. Perhaps once the pair are up to speed, Barcola will be allowed to leave. Interestingly, Ibrahim Mbaye has also been included in Enrique's squad for the Lens clash. Like Barcola, Mbaye has also been linked with a summer transfer to Liverpool. PSG is taking on Lens in the Trophee des Champions, also known as the French Super Cup. Earlier this week, PSG faced Aston Villa in the European Super Cup, winning 2-1. Barcola was left on the bench for that game, with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Desire Doue, Ousmane Dembele and Maghnes Akliouche all selected ahead of him. Enrique was asked about Barcola's future ahead of his team's game against Lens. He said: "We have experience knowing that moments don't last forever. "We have to be more attentive than usual because these moments don't last long, they're fleeting, but we want to keep winning, to be ambitious. "It's important to find players who love playing for PSG, who like our style. "If a player doesn't arrive here with a smile, it's better to have other options." If Barcola is signed by Liverpool, Cody Gakpo could complete a switch to Tottenham. It's claimed that Gakpo is happy to join Spurs this summer, but the Reds will not sell the winger unless a replacement is found. Even if Liverpool signs Barcola, it's likely another winger will need to be brought in to play on the right of the front three. Mbaye, 18, has played on the right wing for PSG and could be a potential option. Yet several other clubs are believed to be interested in the teenager, as Liverpool faces the prospect of a transfer battle.
