Multiple outlets are reporting that Juventus have submitted a new offer for Aston Villa and Argentina goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez after Zion Suzuki’s move to PSG collapsed on Saturday.
Juventus submit new offer for Villa’s Martinez
According to reports from The Athletic’s David Ornstein, Sky Sports News and various others, Juventus have lodged an offer worth €10m including bonuses in an attempt to sign Martinez from Villa this summer.
The Premier League side are reportedly holding out for a fixed fee of €10m, while Juve’s latest offer only guarantees €7m with up to €3m in potential bonuses. The Athletic reports that personal terms should not be an issue between the Old Lady and Martinez.
Juventus are on the lookout for a new goalkeeper to replace Michele Di Gregorio, who fell out of favour with supporters after a string of errors and disappointing performances across the 2025-26 season.
Several names have been linked with a move to Turin, including Liverpool’s Alisson Becker, Tottenham’s Guglielmo Vicario and Fenerbahce’s Ederson, but over the last weeks, the search has centred around Martinez and Suzuki.
Originally, Parma goalkeeper Suzuki had looked set to join Paris Saint-Germain in a €35m deal and then join Juventus on loan for the 2026-27 season, but the Japan international will no longer be moving to the French capital after a definitive breakdown in negotiations on Saturday. This means that a loan move to Juventus is off as well.
That is why the Bianconeri have returned to Villa’s Martinez, while Villa have reportedly turned to Parma’s Suzuki now that his PSG move is off the table.
