Reading FC has announced a new partnership with Berkshire-based brewery Siren Craft Brew. The Finchampstead brewery has become the club’s Official Local Brewing Partner and will have a presence in the Fan Zone at the Select Car Leasing Stadium. Supporters will be able to buy a selection of Siren beers before home matches, including its Lumina Session IPA. Also available will be Show Your Stripes, a lager created by Siren in collaboration with the University of Reading. The beer takes inspiration from the university’s Climate Stripes, which use coloured stripes to represent changes in global temperatures over time. Reading FC has previously supported and promoted the Climate Stripes campaign. Siren Craft Brew was founded in Berkshire in 2013 and has since developed a national reputation for its beers. Tim Kilpatrick, chief revenue officer at Reading FC, said the club was “delighted” to welcome Siren as its new local brewing partner. “Siren are a fantastic Berkshire success story and have already built a great connection with many of our supporters,” he said. “We’re really pleased to bring their beers into the Fan Zone on matchdays. “We want the Fan Zone to continue developing into a real destination for supporters before kick-off, and having a quality local brewery like Siren involved is another important part of that.” Andy Nowlan of Siren Craft Brew said the company was “incredibly proud” to be officially connected with Reading FC. “Our customers, teams and local community have overlapped for so long, it feels like a very natural fit,” he said. Royals season ticket holders will also be offered free fries with their pints at Siren’s town centre tap room on matchdays as part of the partnership. The brewery said further offers and promotions would be sent to members during the week. Siren added that supporters could expect further rewards and activations throughout the season.
