Rangers on verge of signing - Fresh offer, player keen, good move for all

On Wednesday, we covered reports from the Netherlands which stated Rangers are keen on Couhaib Driouech.
An initial offer from Derek McInnes’ side was rejected, however, with PSV holding out for €7-8m for the forward.
Rangers have now taken a serious step forward and offered the Eredivisie club €7.5m. That should be enough to secure a club-to-club agreement for Driouech.
The update comes from local newspaper Eindhovens Dagblad.
Rangers offer seen as a good one
The Dutch newspaper believes the Rangers offer is pretty good, and the gist is that it’s likely to be accepted.
Should that be the case, then the Glasgow club will have to agree a deal with Couhaib Driouech. As explained by Eindhovens Dagblad, the 24-year-old has been open to an Ibrox move.
However, that doesn’t mean it’s an open and shut case. Rangers haven’t yet agreed personal terms with the player’s camp.
Glowing reports from PSV
The winger has been seen as a good squad player at PSV, both on and off the pitch. He’s contributed when needed and been cheery face around the place.
However, with Ivan Perisic in front of him, Ruben van Bommel returning from injury and Amir Bouhamdi coming through the ranks, his route to minutes would be tough.
Therefore, a transfer to Rangers is one that suits all parties involved.
Eindhovens Dagblad explained: ‘In 2024, PSV went to great lengths to bring Driouech to Eindhoven, and after lengthy negotiations with Excelsior, the Eindhoven club managed to secure his services. He featured in 61 matches for PSV and scored twelve times. With his goals in UEFA’s biggest international tournament, he put himself on the map for many clubs.’
Couhaib Driouech to Rangers should happen in the coming days.
