Italian club Monza have reportedly reached an agreement with Inter Milan to sign Nigerian midfielder Ebenezer Akinsanmiro on a permanent transfer during the current summer transfer window. Akinsanmiro, who joined the Nerazzurri from Nigeria National League (NNL) side Remo Stars, enjoyed an impressive loan spell with Pisa during the 2025/2026 campaign, where he established himself as one of the club's standout young performers. The highly-rated midfielder showcased his quality throughout the season, earning praise for his physical presence, technical ability, composure on the ball and maturity in midfield. His consistent performances also caught the attention of the Super Eagles coaching crew, with head coach Eric Chelle handing him his senior debut in a friendly match against Egypt ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. The performances inevitably sparked speculation over his long-term future at the San Siro after Pisa opted against activating the permanent purchase option included in his loan agreement at the end of the campaign. According to Fabrizio Romano, Monza have now reached an agreement to sign the Nigerian international permanently from Inter Milan. The deal is reportedly worth around €7.5 million (approximately N12 billion in Nigerian currency), with Inter retaining a 10 percent sell-on clause as part of the agreement. Akinsanmiro's arrival is expected to strengthen Monza's midfield options as the club prepares for the 2026/2027 campaign. The move also presents another important opportunity for the young Nigerian to continue his development, gain regular first-team football and further establish himself in Italian football.
