The 23-year-old has dealt with plenty of interest from the Premier League new boys throughout the summer. After their promotion, the Tigers are making several moves to improve their squad ready for the top flight. The ex-Aston Villa man was seen as a top option to add to their midfield conversation. Jakirovic has previously revealed that he likes Iroegbunam and could see a deal happening this summer. That has now been halted by injury after he was forced off as Everton faced Stuttgart in a pre-season friendly. The Hull boss has now revealed that his attention may now turn to other options with the midfielder ruled out. As quoted by Hull Live, Jakirovic said: "He's injured, and this is a very big blow for Everton, for us, for the player. Maybe we will try to get another player." How much will Everton miss out on after Iroegbunam deal collapse? There is no current date for the Englishman's return, but it looks likely to beyond the end of the summer window. Hull aren't going to take a risk on that, especially with the idea of Premier League survival in mind. That could see them move for other signings and utilise the funds they were going to spend on Iroegbunam elsewhere. They had looked as if they were willing to pay between £15million and £20m for his signature. That sort of payday would have made a telling difference for the Toffees and will certainly serve as a blow. Hull appear to be out of the race for his signature, so Everton have been left in the lurch.
