Newl promoted Turkish Super Lig club Amedspor have reportedly reached an agreement with Bundesliga side Hoffenheim for the signing of Nigerian striker Gift Orban on loan ahead of the 2026/2027 season, according to Turkish journalist Ertan Süzgün,
The speculation comes after fellow Turkish club Bursaspor announced the signing of Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho following the expiration of his contract with Celtic at the end of the season.
Orban heads into the move after an impressive loan spell with Italian club Hellas Verona during the 2025/2026 Serie A season.
Although Verona suffered relegation to Serie B, the Nigerian forward was one of the club's standout performers.
The 24-year-old scored seven goals and registered three assists in 28 league appearances, underlining his attacking quality despite the team's struggles.
His performances attracted interest from several clubs, with speculation growing over his future as he looked set to continue his career in a top-flight league.
Amedspor have now reached a full agreement with Hoffenheim for the loan transfer of the Nigerian striker.
The Turkish club will cover Orban's full salary throughout the duration of the loan, while the agreement also includes an option to buy.
Meanwhile, Orban is expected to arrive in Turkey on Saturday to complete the remaining formalities before officially joining the club.
With his immediate future now close to being resolved, Orban will be hoping to maintain the impressive form he displayed in Italy, establish himself as a key player at Amedspor, and strengthen his case for a long-awaited competitive appearance for the Super Eagles under head coach Eric Chelle.
