Since Hellas were relegated last season, Serie A clubs have been circling the former Hibs hitman, who cost Vernoa £5.5million in January this year. However, his value has more than doubled since then according to Verona despite them dropping into Serie B. The 23-year-old made a big impression in Italian football's top flight last season by netting against Inter Milan, Juventus, Torino and Bologna. Il Rossoblu are now interested after he bagged against them, as are Cagliari and Sassuolo, who want him to link up with compatriot Josh Doig. Celtic have also been linked with a swoop for the striker. Reports in Italy have revealed Baroni has intervened and urged the club not to sell their star man.
