Yesterday, AC Milan battered Manchester United in their final pre-season game in Poland. Ruben Amorim had plenty to be happy with, indeed. So, ending with a drubbing of a Champions League team is only a good thing. There are still a few things that must be solved moving forward, as you’d expect, but it is clear that Amorim’s side are progressing on the right lines. What matters is that the Portuguese is aware of this, as he stated in his post-match press conference yesterday. The highlights The Rossoneri didn’t start brilliantly, falling behind two minutes into the game from a preventable set-piece goal. Nevertheless, they were not out of it for long, with Samuel Chukwueze finding the back of the net around the half-hour mark. United took the lead again early in the second half, but it was Alphadjo Cisse who levelled for the Diavolo this time. Then, goals from Goncalo Ramos – his first for the Diavolo – and Ruben Loftus-Cheek sealed a positive win.
