Celtic youngster Filip Skorb could be set to leave the club, with Italian side Lecce reportedly close to completing a deal for the striker. Skorb joined Celtic’s academy from Portobello after attracting reported interest from several clubs in Scotland and England. He signed his first professional contract with the Hoops in 2024, with that deal understood to run until the summer of 2027. That would leave Celtic in a position to negotiate a fee rather than lose the forward for training compensation at the end of his contract. The striker has an interesting international background after previously being involved with Scotland at youth level before choosing to represent Poland. He has since progressed through the Polish age groups and has reached under-19 level. Skorb has yet to make his competitive first-team debut for Celtic, with most of his development taking place below senior level. A move to Lecce could give him a different route towards first-team football, while Sturm Graz have also built a reputation for giving young players opportunities. For Celtic, the report comes during another summer in which the future of several academy prospects has attracted attention. Erskine Rennie is reportedly heading to Fulham, while other young players have also moved to English clubs over the past year.
