Leicester City midfielder Harry Winks has arrived in Italy to complete his medical tests ahead of his transfer to Cagliari.
The City star is set to leave City after three years and sign a two-year contract with the Serie A side. Winks has been expected to leave the club this season following relegation to League One.
He missed Saturday's 3-0 pre-season win over Northampton, but did watch his teammates in action before leaving Seagrave. LeicestershireLive reported that the 30-year-old was on the verge of permanently leaving the club over the weekend and the next steps are in place.
Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, who was the first to report Cagliari's interest in the midfielder, shared a video on X of Winks arriving at the sports medicine clinic, Villa Stuart, in Rome to undergo his medical.

Winks' move is now accelerating and he is expected to be confirmed as Gianluca Gaetano's replacement, who left to join Atalanta last week. The former England international returns to Italy after spending the 2022/23 campaign with Sampdoria.
The numbers behind the deal are yet to be disclosed but the transfer will rake up a fee for City and remove Winks' high wages from their books as part of their much-needed rebuild.
City boss Russell Martin has confirmed that the club will lose players throughout the summer, with them having "good players" who will have interest. The Foxes are yet to make a signing this summer, but Martin expects that to change fairly soon.
"I expect there to be some arrivals fairly soon and there will be some people who leave the club as well because after what’s gone on, it’s been really difficult to keep everyone," he said.
"We have a lot of good players who people will be interested in. There will be arrivals soon. When or who, I can’t say but we’ll announce it as and when. But I really expect the group to look differently by the time we get to Spain."
