'Danger'- Fabian Hurzeler makes Jack Hinshelwood claim amid '£50m' Arsenal and Man United tease All the latest team and transfer news for Brighton and Hove Albion Brighton boss Fabian Hurzeler believes Jack Hinshelwood is "stepping up" after his pre-season winner against Bologna. Hinshelwood, 21, has been the subject of transfer speculation with Arsenal and Manchester United reportedly preparing £50m-plus bids. But the Brighton academy graduate was soon back to business on the pitch as his 60th minute strike proved decisive in a 1-0 friendly win against the Italians. Hinshelwood has swiftly developed into a key player for Hurzeler and has flourished of late in the No 10 role. "Overall, I'm impressed since the second part of last season," said Hurzeler to Sussex World. "He's developing as a player but also as a personality, he's getting into a leadership role, he's stepping up, although he's quite young, but that's what we need now." Hinshelwood has a knack of finding space between the defence and the defensive midfielders. His finishing has also improved of late and he's a player capable or reaching double figures for the season. Hinshelwood creates danger Hurzeler added: "On the pitch he always creates a danger, because he's so active, he always follows the game, he's always very present in the opponent's (4:09) box. "He defends well, he can run a lot, so that's why on and off the pitch I'm really happy with him." Hinshelwood has made 79 appearances for Brighton with 12 goals and seven assists. He is contracted with the Seagulls until 2029, having signed an extension in March earlier this year. Wing options in Tromso Brighton’s competitive season gets underway this Thursday as they take on Norwegian team Tromso in the first leg of their Conference League play-off. Brighton will be without inured first choice wingers Kaoru Mitoma (hamstring) and Yankuba Minteh (leg). Diego Gomez and Maxim De Cuyper were the wide men against Bologna and could be a option in Tromso. Hurzeler added: “Yeah, I think understanding which profile is on the pitch. Minteh and Mitoma, they define their role differently than Diego Gomez “So I think that's important to get an understanding of the strengths of the individual player, how can we bring them into their best positions. “How can we get the most potential out of them and that's the challenge we have to go for. Overall, we know that players like Mitoma and Minteh are important for our game because one-against-one players are just very, very important, but we will find solutions for that.”
