Liverpool latest: PSG make £90m decision that impacts Bradley Barcola as transfer fee reduced Liverpool are still in the market for a winger with just one week remaining until the start of the upcoming Premier League season Liverpool have made three senior summer additions so far with the Premier League returning next week. But Andoni Iraola could wave goodbye to a midfield star. The Reds are getting ready to face Newcastle United at St James' Park in what will be Iraola's first real test as manager. They have a pre-season double-header to contend with first as they welcome Como to Anfield. These games will act as the final bit of prep before the league opener. Victor Munoz, Jeremy Jacquet and Ronald Araujo have been the only senior incomings so far, but one player who could be leaving the club is Curtis Jones. All the latest news and analysis from Anfield on the Liverpool Echo's dedicated LFC Facebook page Club lower asking price It is understood that Liverpool have reduced their asking price for midfielder Curtis Jones. The Englishman has fallen out of favour under Iraola. The 25-year-old has been heavily linked with a switch to Inter Milan throughout much of the window and with his contract due to expire next year, Liverpool are eager to recoup a fee. Jones is an academy product with no book value on the balance sheet, meaning that under Financial Fair Play regulations, any transfer fee received would be counted as pure profit. Reports in Italy suggested that the asking price had proved a sticking point in negotiations, with Liverpool holding firm at £34m. Now, however, it appears they've reduced this figure to £30m. English talent has been flooding into Inter this summer. They've already secured John Stones on a free transfer following the expiry of his Manchester City contract, while Tottenham's Djed Spence is on the brink of a £30m switch to Italy. Bradley Barcola boost Elsewhere, Liverpool's chase for Barcola has been a cautious affair to date. Initial discussions have been held with the player's representatives and various reports indicate a formal offer is forthcoming. However, PSG's valuation, believed to be in the region of £130m, has been considered excessive. Despite this, the Parisian club have announced the arrival of a new winger and are poised to confirm yet another signing. World Cup winner Ferran Torres has completed a £42m move to PSG from Barcelona, while young Mika Godts is set to follow from Ajax for £48m. The duo will join Maghnes Akliouche as attacking additions to the squad this summer. This double swoop strongly suggests that Barcola is heading towards the exit door and effectively signals PSG's intention to offload him before the window closes. Whether they are willing to lower their valuation, however, remains to be seen. Godts and Torres' arrival could also hand the Reds a timely boost in their pursuit of Ibrahim Mbaye. Reports emerging from France indicate that a deal for the 18-year-old Senegal international remains very much alive, with Liverpool potentially set to make their move.
