Arsenal predicted XI vs Man City as Bruno Guimaraes starts and Viktor Gyokeres decision taken
The Arsenal team predicted to start against Manchester City in the FA Community Shield
Arsenal are due to play against Manchester City in the FA Community Shield as the Gunners look to kick-off the new season with a trophy. Mikel Arteta has been describing the game as a ‘final’ amid question marks over how seriously the game will be taken by both sides.
Viktor Gyokeres struck a puzzled figure when asked in the week ahead of the game if he considered the game a friendly. The ambition from Arsenal is to try and win the game.
There remains some question marks over how fit many of the players in both squads are. Bukayo Saka, Martin Zubimendi and Declan Rice are all yet to feature for Arsenal this pre-season whatsoever, but could potentially make the bench.

Here is who football.london believes will start in Cardiff:
David Raya
Looked brilliant in his second-half cameo against Como, making two top saves and appears a level above the current backup options.
Ben White
The only option while Jurrien Timber is out with interest in Ezri Konsa and Jarell Quansah ongoing, White has played every pre-season game so far and looked fit again.
Cristhian Mosquera
With William Saliba out and no replacement signed yet, this remains a big opportunity for Cristhian Mosquera to make a claim to start at the heart of the Arsenal defence this season.
Gabriel
Looks a little rusty and needing minutes, but will re-engage his ongoing battle with Erling Haaland after defeat in the World Cup.
Riccardo Calafiori
Appears to be getting the nod ahead of Piero Hincapie as Mikel Arteta leans on the Italian’s dynamism in the inverted left-back role.
Bruno Guimaraes
The Brazilian looked good in his debut against Como, and until both Martin Zubimendi and Declan Rice return, he makes the most sense to start in the number six role.
Myles Lewis-Skelly
This allows the man in the headlines of late, Lewis-Skelly, to play the left eight role he impressed in so much at the end of last season.
Martin Odegaard
One of the best performers this pre-season, the club captain looks sharper and ready for the brand new campaign, hopefully uninterrupted.
Max Dowman
Bukayo Saka and Noni Madueke are not quite yet ready to start, it seems, and so after playing all of pre-season, it makes sense the youngster will get the nod.
Kai Havertz
The choice between Viktor Gyokeres and Kai Havertz in big games has seemingly leant on the German, and therefore, he is predicted to start here.
Christos Tzolis
The standout player of pre-season without a doubt, and now the tests for the Greek international reach new heights.
