Hull City head coach Sergej Jakirovic says Tim Iroegbunam's injury is a hammer blow to him and the Tigers, confirming that it could change their transfer plans. The Everton midfielder had agreed terms on a move to City, having been tracked by the Tigers throughout the summer, only to suffer an injury against Stuttgart last weekend, which could keep him out for six weeks. Though Iroegbunam won't be sidelined for too long, City's growing injury problems mean they're reluctant to risk spending as much as £20m on a player that may not be available until after the upcoming international break. As Hull Live reported on Thursday, his injury has forced City to consider their options, and while the deal has not been completely ruled out, Jakirovic says the club are looking elsewhere for the time being. The Frenchman was a firm target earlier in the window, but City moved away and pursued Iroegbunam. Danois has other options and has been linked with a big-money move to Turkish Super Lig side Besiktas. Jakirovic, though, is a huge fan of the 22-year-old and believes he has what it takes to be a success in the Premier League. "He's injured, and this is a very big blow for Everton, for us, for the player. Maybe we will try to get another player," Jakirovic told Hull Live. "Kevin Danois is my wish, and if it's possible, it will be good to bring him, but it's not easy because Auxurre doesn't want to sell him; he's very valuable to them. Of course, he's a good player; you know that I have a good nose for this. We are working on a lot of players. We have a shopping list, and we are working on it." While City had shelved plans to sign Mohamed Ali-Cho, Jakirovic has hinted the Nice winger could still be signed. The Frenchman wasn't involved against the Tigers on Saturday. "Yes, Ali-Cho is a good player, but I don't know what happened there, and we are searching more, and I hope on Monday or Tuesday we will have a new player there." City had expected to sign Leon Bailey from Aston Villa, but the Tigers have moved away from the deal. On comments made by Leon Bailey's father and agent, Craig Butler, who suggested the deal could still be on," the Croatian said from his point of view, the deal remained off.
