Celtic’s interest in Torino midfielder Gvidas Gineitis has been acknowledged by the player’s representative, who has revealed discussions have taken place while dismissing reports that an official bid has already been submitted. The Scottish champions have been linked with the Lithuania international in recent weeks, with reports claiming an opening proposal had been rejected by the Serie A side, who are believed to value the midfielder at around €15 million. However, Gineitis’ agent, Dmitry Vinokurov, has moved to clarify the situation, insisting Celtic have yet to make a formal approach despite establishing contact.
