Official: Greuther Fürth sign former Dundee United defender Greuther Fürth have completed the signing of Hungarian center-back Krisztián Keresztes. | Adam Pretty/Getty Images | Krisztián Keresztes has joined Greuther Fürth from Hungarian side Nyíregyháza. The center-back initially joined on a loan deal, with the clubs agreeing on an obligation to buy with conditions at the end of the season. The 26-year-old spent last season on another loan as he played 42 games for Scottish Premiership side Dundee United. He scored in a rare 2-1 win over eventual champions Celtic in December 2025. Greuther Fürth remain a 2. Bundesliga club after their narrow win over RW Essen in the relegation/promotion playoff. They have been active in the transfer window so far, with Fortuna Düsseldorf’s Shinta Appelkamp and ex-Borussia Dortmund midfielder Ole Pohlmann among their new signings.
