Martin O’Neill has continued with his coy responses over whether Celtic will make any additions before Tuesday night’s final Champions League deadline, which allows the Hoops to register two additional players ahead of Wednesday’s game against LASK at Celtic Park. Landon Emenalo, Niko Sigur, Gvidas Gineitis and Miguel Chaiwa have all linked in recent days, Celtic do face a race against the clock to beat the deadline. However, O’Neill appears confident that even if nobody arrives before Wednesday’s game, further players will be signed before the Scottish transfer window closes in early September. He said: (TCW), “Well, yeah, I think that we can add to it. Whether that happens before Wednesday is a different issue. I think that we’ve already announced a squad. “I think you can, up until Tuesday night, add another two players. But yeah, I think in time that we will get them in, whether we do before Wednesday is another issue.” Celtic supporters will be optimistic that another signing or two can be completed before the LASK clash. The Hoops have already shown with nine goals across their last two games, away to Kilmarnock and Dundee United, that they are beginning to hit top form. Haissem Hassan and Mika Baur both made their debuts from the bench against Jim Goodwin’s side, meaning O’Neill already has two fresh additions available going into Wednesday night. It remains to be seen whether anyone else will arrive before the deadline, but Celtic head into their biggest two games of the season so far in strong form and with more options available to O’Neill.
