Ruben Amorim insists he still loves Manchester United after beating his old club 4-2 in a pre-season friendly. Amorim's AC Milan twice battled back from a goal behind to beat United in Wroclaw, Poland. Samuel Chukwueze cancelled out Harry Maguire's opener before goals from Alphadjo Cisse, Goncalo Ramos and Ruben Loftus-Cheek - all within 14 second-half minutes - secured victory for the Italians after Patrick Dorgu's finish. This was Amorim's first reunion with United since being sacked by the Premier League club back in January. The Portuguese head coach's time at Old Trafford ultimately proved disastrous given he managed only a 31.9 per cent win rate in the league, winning just 15 of 47 top-flight games. He lasted a mere 14 months in charge before being axed. But the 41-year-old insists he has no ill will towards United as he gears up for his first season in charge of Serie A heavyweights Milan. Speaking after overseeing a 4-2 victory against Michael Carrick's men, Amorim said to the Italian press: "The result doesn't matter. We have to win against Torino. It will be a completely different match. Today we had more space to play. As I said, next Sunday will be different, but obviously the team's feeling is completely different when you win by playing well. "However, once again, I think we have to worry about the way we're conceding goals. Because we're giving them away. It happened against Celtic and today... But otherwise I think we're improving. Preseason doesn't matter, we have to win next season." Asked if victory was extra sweet because it came against United, Amorim replied: "No, it's a normal game. Since I signed with Milan, I haven't felt anything about Manchester United. I'm just proud to have been at Manchester United and I still love Manchester United, but after signing with Milan, I don't feel anything negative about anything because I'm very happy. "I'm where I should be. So I just want to continue here. I wanted to win a game in pre-season to give our fans a good image." Despite conceding four goals, United boss Carrick remains positive about his team's prospects this season as they enjoy a return to the Champions League.
