Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest have ‘repeatedly shown interest’ in Eintracht Frankfurt defender Arthur Theate, while Bournemouth are also in the mix. BILD report on their interest today, with Frankfurt still waiting to discover whether the Belgian centre-back will depart this summer. Eintract Expect Exit The newspaper explains that after the exit of two top defenders – Nathaniel Brown and Rasmus Kristensen – Arthur Theate could be the next to leave. The 26-year-old is considered a prime candidate for a move. He’s set to join the German side shortly after a World Cup break, but the big question is how long he will stay. Many at the club expect him to leave this summer. According to BILD’s information, no concrete offer has been received as yet. Nevertheless, Crystal Palace, Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest have ‘repeatedly shown interest’ in recent weeks. There is also interest from Türkiye, with Galatasaray and Besiktas also vying for his signature. The Belgian would consider all of those as ‘intriguing destinations’. The Belgian defender is currently valued at €17m and Frankfurt see him as one the few players who could bring in ‘significant funds’. His exit would also free up a substantial amount of salary as he is one of the top earners in the squad. Crystal Palace vs Nottingham Forest For now, they are waiting for Crystal Palace, Bournemouth or Nottingham Forest to make a bid. That would see them advance their interest into something concrete. Of course, two of those could mean an Oliver Glasner shaped transfer battle is on the cards. Sport Witness have already covered Forest’s interest. The now Nottingham Forest boss has already clashed with Crystal Palace on potential transfer fronts this summer. He’s been given more power by Evangelos Marinakis than he had to Selhurst Park and it is showing. Arthur Theate could be the latest name he has recommended, or at least brought with him from his former club. For now, it seems the pair are simply circling, while Frankfurt wait for potential bids to arrive.
