With a statement on the official website, German Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt have confirmed the signing of Nigeria international Raphael Onyedika. By signing a contract until June 30, 2031, Onyedika ended his four-year association with Belgian Pro League team Club Brugge. Eintracht Frankfurt have landed another highly-rated Nigeria midfielder, thirty-four years after the arrival of club legend Austin Jay-Jay Okocha. Okocha captivated fans in the early 1990s with his dazzling skill and flair. His unforgettable solo goal against Karlsruher goalkeeper Oliver Kahn, voted Goal of the Year in 1993, remains one of the most iconic moments in the club's history. During his time at Eintracht Frankfurt, the gifted playmaker made 116 appearances and scored 25 goals while producing eighteen assists. A product of FC Ebedei, Onyedika joined Club Brugge from Midtjylland in 2022 and went on to make 183 appearances, scoring nine goals and providing six assists. During his spell, he won two Belgian league titles, the Belgian Cup and the Supercup. The midfielder has earned 26 caps for Nigeria, scoring three goals.
